UK Water Industry Research (UKWIR)

UKWIR was set up by the UK water industry in 1993 to provide a framework for the procurement of a common research programme for UK water operators on 'one-voice' issues.  UKWIR's members comprise 24 water and sewerage undertakers in England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

In 2001 UKWIR commissioned Webree to provide an innovative web system, designed to offer dramatically improved on-line service to members and the general public.  UKWIR’s web service utilises XPOR which provides ideal online functionality for any type of member organisation.

The UKWIR web service utilises the following XPOR modules:

Content ManagOR:  Allows the staff at UKWIR to edit the content of the site at any time, ensuring their site is always up to date.
OrganisOR:  Enables UKWIR to set private online areas and centrally manage and mail their members.
PublishOR:  Provides UKWIR with a complete document workflow.
